The conference “The Italian Constitution is 75 years old: perspectives from France” will be intended to bring together for the first time in a single event most of the teacher-researchers who work in France on Italian constitutional law.
This group of speakers has a privileged position to observe the Italian Constitution in its different aspects (the Constitutional Court, the separation of powers, regionalism, fundamental rights and the system's relationships with European law and international law).
From a comparative perspective, the conference will allow it to be inserted into a political and constitutional context of exchanges between the two systems, given the reform proposals of the Italian regime drawing inspiration from the French regime, and in particular the election of thehead of state by direct universal suffrage.
